• Transportation Master Plan Qatar 2050 (TMPQ 2050) envisages significant rail

infrastructure projects to be launched in future.

These projects will build Qatar’s national infrastructure, enable and develop a long -term

sustainable economy, and reduce carbon emissions for generations to come – leaving a

truly fitting and lasting legacy to His Highness as the original visionary of Qatar Rail.

Lesson Learnt (LL #25): ❑ Clashes and abortive work on

site from mistakes in the BIM models as different parties working

separately on older outdated models that had already been

revised i.e. Civil MEP and Systems clashes.

❑ Investigate the use of a

Common Data Environment (CDE platform/tool) to share models between various project

teams and QR.

Based on model rework due to

changes in civils models and usage of outdated models – • Over 51 claims, costing millions of

DOLLARS • Quality of models was

questionable, and it required additional inhouse modeling
